Got some great Alocasias, one Colocasia Giagantea (Thailand strain that could get over 10' tall) and some black runner elephant ears, anyone know if it is safe to place in ground now? (April 1)
PDN went ahead and sent them, and not second guessing them, just want to be safe with these. located in Carteret County (morehead city) NC, near beach.

any suggestions would help immensly!!

thanks

I'm just a bit south of you, on Topsail Island, and I've decided to wait a little longer to plant the exact same things. We have good taste! It's been so wet and cold that I'm afraid the bulbs will rot if I plant them now. So I'm going to wait at least until the middle of April.

Good idea, plants a little pricey and can't lose them. Probably would be fine, stores selling just about everything, but always good to err on the side of caution.

thanks!
