Fountain repairs

I tried posting this earlier. I have an outdoor fountain in which one of the supports needs repairs. It is made of some type of foam type material and covered with a plaster-like material. The plaster is chipping off and causing the foam to disintegrate. Is there something that I can cover the foam with and paint it to match/

Maybe some cement repair that comes in a tube like caulking. Normally it's used to replace the cement between bricks.

Thank you for your suggestion regarding the cement repair. You are correct that it goes on and spreads like caulk. After some trial and error and a little patience, I was able to cover the damaged area. It hardened over the area, and I was able to paint it to match the terra cotta pots. Thanks!
