Question about Bleeding Heart Vine

I have a clerodendrum thomsoniae vine that I planted on the North side of the house last year. It gets some sun but filtered sun/shade most of the day. It did beautifully last year, growing nicely with white flowers that had the red corolla. The plant died back in the Winter, and when it came back this year, it is still doing well. It has the white flowers - BUT - no red corollas. What gives? Does anyone have an explanations for this? It is supposed to be a "bleeding heart", but there is no "blood." I sure am mystified.

Thank you.

Sue
