Cucumber freshness

| A friend gave me a bushel of cucumbers to pickle, but they were a little soft at the time. I have them stored inside my kitchen in very cool temperature. Can I make my crisp, crunchy sweet pickles with sort-of soft cukes? |

| I guess that by now the cucumbers are disposed of so I will post just so this one can move on down. which reminds me, I need to go buy some cukes!
