Last summer I introduced a potted Eucalyptus to the rest of my 'to-be planted' family. It's this heat--the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak... Anyway, I hope someone can tell me the best time to put this handsome tree into the earth. It's grown quite a bit. I don't know if I should plant it now, wait for cooler weather, or wait till next spring.

Wilmington, Thank you That gives me at least two months to dig up a large area. The tree is about 13 feet high & in a 20 gallon pot. I figure the roots will be a sight. Any suggestions are welcome. I plan on planting it uphill from an area that can be a wetland when it rains. Pat

Yes, make sure it is uphill from the wetland area...euchy's are from semi-arid areas of Australia in general, and would prefer to be a wee dry over a wee wet.
