fir or spruce trees

| has anyone had any sucess growing any kind of fir(abies) or spruce(picea) in the southeast. i know that japanese fir will grow in the southeast and possibly chihuahua spruce will too. other than that i have heard that the norway spruce and the coast redwood will grow in the southeast |

| There are plenty of very successful conifers that thrive in the southeast, but the ones you've mentioned do not. |
