Bamboo near a marsh?

We live on the tail-end of a marsh. 2 times in the past 2 years saltwater has come into an area of the backyard that borders the marsh. We have fiddler crabs in there, a mulberry tree and sumac seem to survive. Would a non-invasive type of bamboo make it as a screen?
I've also posted this on the bamboos forum.
Thanks!
(If not bamboo what other type of plantings might survive?)

Oleanders will take a good bit of salt water. The road to the beach used to be lined with them before it was widened. They often were swamped at the spring tides.

Salt Cedars and Wax Myrtles also work well.

Bamboo would not tolerate the salt water episodes but Pampas Grass would. It is often used for this purpose and is a beautiful grass. ;-)
