Moving?

We may be moving to S. Carolina. What are the growing conditions near Aiken, especially in regards to roses? Are there any reasonably priced acreages (maybe 10) around there? What about further to the center of the state?

Thank you.

RE: Moving?

Aiken is a very beautiful city, Im originally from Augusta Georgia, about 20 minutes to the south west of Aiken. Not really sure about Roses but Im sure you will be able to find reasonable property there. Check out Woodlanders nursery, its an excellent nursery but youll need to call ahead for opening hours or tours. They specialize in hard to find native or exotic warm climate plants that are suitable for zone 8. Also, Cold-Creek nurseries right off the Aiken-Augusta highway is one of my FAVORITES. Ive found some really unusual stuff there and they have normal business hours. Woodlanders webpage is..

Here is a link that might be useful: woodlanders
