i purchased a florida king peach tree this spring and planted it. the tree is about 5 feet tall. it looked fine until a month ago. now the stems are turning brown and the leaves are falling off and it looks wilted. it has a new leaf coming out and the trunk under the bark is green. i planted it in topsoil, mulched it, and fertilized it with miracid when i planted it. its planted in a mostly shady place on the west side of the house. it gets afternoon sun. please help.

RE: peach tree problem in florida

As long as the trunk is green under the bark, it's still alive. The new leaves sound promising too. Just be sure not to over water, peach trees hate that.
