Garden pics - Post some of yours too!!!

Hey everyone. It has been so hot outside that I haven't been gardening much but have been snapping some pics. Thanks to almost daily watering, my garden is actually looking pretty good for this time of year.

These first few pics are also posted on the Cottage Forum so they are repeats for some of you. This areas was all grass until the summer of 2002.

These are some of the hibiscus/mallow family members that I really like. The first one is abelmoschus moschatus, the second is abelmoschus manihot, and the third is scarlet mallow or pentapetes phoenicia.

Two gerberas that I'm crazy about. And yes, the color on that first one is true! It really is that vibrant. That is Bright Eyes Phlox in the corner of the pic.

And a moonflower bloom. I love the way this bloom was so floppy and relaxed. It looks like it has just collapsed into a beanbag chair and is taking a nap!

Thanks for looking. I'd love to see any pics y'all have!

Thanks for sharing your spectacular photos, Annie. Your gerberas are so pretty. Mine are kind of sleeping right now, waiting for cooler weather.

Nell, my gerberas have absolutelly flourished in the heat! I feed, water, and deadhead them like crazy, they are in full sun, the plants have gotten absolutely huge this year and are ALWAYS in bloom. The light pink one in the photo above is in a grouping of three gerberas which had about a dozen blooms two weeks ago.

Awesome pics, Annie!

Maybe I'll get some shots of my garden this weekend to post.
