Anyone growing Metalic Palm (Chamaedorea metallica)?

I just bought one from a local nursery and it's technically hardy where I am (z 9a). The temps here don't get below 20F, but stay there longer than your typical zone 9.

I'm toying with the idea of planting one of the stems (there are three) in the ground on the South side of my house. Spider plants and boston ferns overwinter there just fine.

Keep the frost off of them.
