Hip or not to hip

I have many roses that have great hips. However, my roses can bloom most of the winter, so I would need to de-hip
(I am never UN-hip). What are your thoughts? I love having the hips for the birds and for tea, but I love blooms too. Thanks yall.

Can you do a partical pruning? Leave a few hips and prune off most for further blooming?

I think that's the answer. The other thing I thought of since posting is leaving the hips on the once-bloomers Duh! Thanks!
