The Sad End of my Morning Glory trellis

I planted (from seed) Morning Glory's and enjoyed them all summer. Now they look like they are dying. There are still a few blooms on the top of the trellis but the vines are brown and dying. What should I do now? Should I pull them from the roots and clear them all from the trellis? Should I just trim them back and hope they return next summer? I was hoping they would just stay forever and ever. If I have to get rid of them is there something else I can plant in their place for the coming Fall and Winter season? This "newbie" from SC thanks you in advance for your kind suggestions.

Oh, they'll be back. I'd leave them until Spring,.. then cut whatever parts don't get buds. Alternatively, you can cut them low now and have all new growth in spring.
