What survived Ivan?

Looking for ideas of what to plant now that many of our trees were taken out by Ivan. We lost all pines and leyland cypress, but our magnolia, maple, okame cherry, and bradford pear (ugh) survived. Any ideas on what else can withstand the wind?

East Palatka hollies are good

so are ~
Savannah holly
Mary Nell holly
Nellie Stevens holly
Drake elms
Little gem magnolia
Crape myrtles
Wax Myrtles
Dogwoods
Live Oaks
Figs

Lots of other trees & shrubs will do ok.
The main thing is to give them plenty of good OM enriched soil to get established. If their roots are not shallow, they will stand a better chance. But I don't know if there is any sense in trying to imagine that anything can withstand 75+mph winds.

Hope this is helpful & I hope you don't need to worry about these storms for a long long time.

My pecan trees held up good, so did my oak tree. My pear tree is gone as well as several other species.
