Just purchased a tuberose at Hester & Zipperer. Has anyone in the Savannah area had good or bad luck with these?
They smell wonderful, especially at night. Alot like gardenia and jasmine.

I planted a few tuberoses 5 years ago. I planted them in pots. They grew fat clumps of grass-like leaves and bloomed the first year. After that, I planted them in a sheltered flower bed. The plants survived two more years, but did not bloom again. After that, I took them out. I live near Beaufort SC.

Have you posted your question on the bulb forum?

No, but I will. Thanks!

Mine have returned for two years now. I have the single variety which is recommended for the coastal south. The double is less reliable. They get some shade and plenty of moisture.
