Can someone tell me if angelonia is an annual or a perennial? Also, does anyone know the botanical name?

I believe angelonia is the botanical name. It is also called summer snapdragon. It is classified as an annual.

The garden angelonia is Angelonia angustifolia.

but in my zone, it has behaved like a perennial. I love these!

Angeloni9a is a tender perennial. When the winter was mild it came back for me but it did not after the last two winters. It is said to be hardy in zone 9.
