| I'm looking for a source between Charleston and Jacksonville for a double Confederate Rose, (Hibiscus Mutabilis) also known as Cotton Rose.
I LOVE this plant.
Thanks in advance

Hey Alieen, I have a real beauty that is about fifteen feet tall and has been blooming like mad since last month and is still going strong, wouldn't swear that it's a Mutabilis. It has gorgous rosy flowers;however, they will not last ten hours when cut, so I have been drying the flowers in bunches of about six. They make neat little bunches but don't know how long they will last. Hope you find some. |

I gava away 10 buckets of cuttings at work earlier this month. Contact me again in September 2002. Terry Smith |

| beware the white flies, they love this plant |

I recently read (on another forum)that white flys hate the taste and smell of worm castings. Several contributors mentioned that mulching heavily with the castings effectivly repel the little monsters. The plant takes up the nutrients and the "flavor". I am going to try it on my Confederate Rose this year. |
