Why are my bananas turning yellow?

Does anyone have any ideas as to why my banana plant leaves are suddenly turning yellow? In previous years they have done well until the first frost. My elephant ears which are near the bananas are dying back. They don't look eaten or diseased, just turned yellow.

It's that time of year. Lots of things are turning. I don't think that it depend on when frost comes as it depends on how much moisture in the ground, air temperature, things like that. I would not feed them anything as you would not want to encourage any new growth at this time of year. We may be about to have an early cold snap. Mother Nature seems to know these things ahead of time. PB

A lot of the bananas in my neck of the woods are turning yellow as well. Like PeeBee said, I think it's just that time of year.
