When to plant bulbs for winter blooming?

I have had bulbs in the fridge for 8 weeks. Is it too soon to plant them? I have irises, daffodils, and tulips.
Thanks! I am sure it will get back in the 80's in a few days.

If you have purchased these bulbs and rhizomes new, you do not have to regrigerate them before planting. The chilling comes in if you decide to dig them up to keep them over the winter. Beared iris may not do very well in your area and tulip won't, I am sorry to say, after this first bloom. Daffodils will do great. When I lived in your zone (in SC), we planted spring blooming bulbs between Thanksgiving and Xmas. I'd plant Iris right away. The sooner the better.

Daffodils will naturalize. Purchase a wide variety so that you can have early, mid-, and late season blooms.

Thanks! I have had tulips do ok, but after a year, they do not bloom again.
I'll get the iris in ASAP! Thanks for responding.

Yes, they will do just great that first year...right from the grower. Everything they need to produce flowers is already in the bulb. But in your location, it does not get cold enough for long enough for the tulips to keep going year after year.
