Hi,I 've just started looking at this forum and have a question.I live in s.Ga.(Blackshear)and wondered if anyone has grown lemon eucalytus. How hardy is it?I have one grown from seed its about 11 or 12 ft.tall and the trunk is no larger than your index finger. It has grown straight up with leaves on the top.I have it in a large pot and will need to move it soon if its not hardy. Thanks for any info..Debbie

RE: A newbie question about lemon eucalytus

Debbie, I am pretty sure your Eucalyptus would be hardy down there in South Georgia. Says zone 8 on several sites...which you are probably in..if not 9a, (not sure where Blackshear is). However, I am not sure if you should go ahead and stick it in the ground or wait until early spring. (I would bring it inside if you are going to wait until spring though, as the pot may freeze solid.)
