Wondering if I should save seed from different basils

I had a demonstration herb bed at a local school in which I grew several different basil cultivars. I saved and dried various branches as I was cleaning up the beds at summer's end, labeled and stored them, but now am wondering if it is worth saving & planting the seed since I expect they cross-bred. They were all very close to one another, branches intertwining even. I had cinnamon, Genovese, Red Rubin, Amethyst, Dark Opal, lemon, and tulsi (holy basil). Also African Blue, but I understand it does not even set seed, so assume that is out of the running (?).

Think I should bother sowing any, not knowing what I will get? I have a bit of extra space, both under lights and in the garden, for experiments. :-)
