 o
another question about Saving Petunia Seeds

Posted by gemfire z9/10 AZ (My Page) on

In the post below I read that the seed pod developes where the base of the flower falls off. I've found the seed pod. My question is how long do I have to leave the pod. Do I need to wait until it changes color or just until it gets a nice size and then pick it off and put somewhere safe to dry? Thanks,

Gemfire

When the pod turns brown & begins to open, it's time to harvest.

Thanks Jaynine,

I got some from them this morning, along with some from
my snapdragons and pansies. Hopefully they will
grow as nicely as their parents did.

Happy Gardening,
Gemfire
