Questions from a NEWBIE - Help!

I have a few questions and I've only been a member for a month.

1. I have gotten iris tubors in the mail and I'm not sure how to store them until I plant them in the spring? I'm zone 5.

2. I got seeds in a seed exchange and I'm wondering if the perennial and or annual seeds need to be stored in a cool environment until I start to plant them?

3. Do you recommend starting seeds indoors under a grow lamp? I have heard of mildew/mold trouble. Can you really start some outdoors in plastic bags? (even though its winter). Is there one kind perennial or annual that is best to start first?

Any info. you offer would be so appreciated!!

Hi Traci,
For your seed starting questions, you should visit the Winter Sowing Forum. Click on the link below.
The iris tubers should of been planted awhile ago. Many are pretty tough though so they might be ok, but not bloom next year. I would visit Irises Forum for the best advice.
Also, it is best not to post your email on the forum like you did. Spammers can pick them up.
