I saved a bunch of seed from my millet purple majesty tall stalks last year because the seeds are so expensive and I thought I would give it a try. THEY HAVE GEMINATED Under lights! My very first attempt at germinating saving seed ; I am sooo excited. Except, oops, I see in the seed catalog I just received a little tiny F1 next to the name.... ohoh, are these seedling babies NOT going to be like their parents? Have I just germinated a bunch of grass that won't be pretty, puple and tall light purple majesty? Anyone have any experience growing these plants from saved seed? I'd sure appreciate knowing before I spend all the time (and dirt!) potting these up and babying them till spring has sprung!
