Hi from zone 5! I noticed a hollyhock plant with some seed heads still attached and some astilbe, too. I was wondering if I collected these, would they still be viable or do they get killed by the cold? The astilbe was dry towards the Fall season and may not have survived, so it would be nice if I could "resurrect" it. Both plants were purchased as plants in the Spring. Thanks!
