Collecting seed from indoor forced tulips?

Hi,

I had picked up several $1.00 dozen tulip bags from Walmart at the end of fall last year and forced a bunch of the bulbs in January. So many of them bloomed, it is beautiful.

I used the water method, so the bulbs are quite covered with fungi and not a pretty sight even though I did try to keep the water level at 1/3 of the bulb height.

I dont see much point in trying to salvage the bulbs but was wondering if I should let the flowers go to seed and try collecting the seed. What would be advisable? Since they were inside the house, will there be any pollination at all? Or I should take them outside after the bloom is done for the bees? But then there may not be any bees so early on in zone 6/7. I really hate to not salvage anything from these beauties.

Please advise.
