The seeds would have to fully matured to grow. Unless the flower had bloomed some time ago, the seeds will be no good. If Gerbera daisy seed is mature, it is only viable for a couple months. So you would need to sow it soon irregardless of whether it would bloom this year or not. I think it would though. In your area gerbera daisies will overwinter outside. They do overwinter inside easily for us people up north : )

I am new here and I apologize for my english language. I have one question for growing gerbera. I have started to grow gerbera from the seed. First I have put the seed in Substrat I Klasmann-Deilmann and he has got two leaves, than I transplant (seedlings) in the other container with Klasmann substrat II. Than something strange happened. Some of the seedlings leaves lied down and start drying . I do not know what to do? please if anyone can give me some information how to grow gerbera from the seed, procedure, instruction....some help I will be very grateful. Thanks in advance!
