Well... it's very practical to throw them in a bag or bottle so they can easily be stored in the refrigerator, where they should last a long time. But what fun is that? I have a couple of card-filing boxes (they look like shoe boxes) with the sliding expander thing inside. I made cardboard dividers with seed labels and stuck those in. Now they're all alphabetically organized and easy to locate. Gosh what fun!

I have the same sort of thing also and I like it. What a time - saver. I also sort the seeds by type ( eg. Root Crops, Leaf crops, and plants that I start from seed early ) I add a bit of rice to the boxes just in case of humidity.

I have a check filing accordion folder from something else - it has A-z pockets.

I use a photo box. This also comes in handy for holding the plain envlopes that I use to store collected seeds from the garden till they "dry" enough to be put into little plastic baggies. And then they go into a zip lock baggie in the crispier drawer int he fridge till after christmas then I take them out ad sort them according to when they can be wintersown and then divied that way.

If you don't winter sow then maybe two photo boxes one for flowers and the other for veggies.
