| hi! i planted some canna seeds a few times and finally this batch started growing. i harvested them myself from cannas last season that were growing outside a store :-) and im wondering-- do you think the quality of the plant will be good? or does the whole hybrid thing get in the way of the cannas growing well from seed? thanks in advance for your help! |

| A lot of hybrids won't even produce viable seed. I have collected and grown lots of cannas from red and a few yellows that have grown into plants just like their parents. My guess is that if you have viable seeds, the parent may not have been a hybrid and your plants have a good chance of looking like the parent. Even if they are not exactly like the parent you will still get a lovely canna. |
