New to seeds

Hello I live in Durham NC and want to grow my own naturalizing perennials (e.g., columbine, obedient plant, baptisia)from seed. Aside from reading posts on this forum, what book would you recommend for getting started? Something for "dummies" is about my level.

RE: New to seeds

I am new to seed saving, too. I was worried this year that I wouldn't be able to find the seed pods on all of my flowers. I was soooo excited when I collected my first seeds last week. Now, I wonder what I was worried about in the first place. I found a great site that I have been telling everyone about. I will give the address to you.

http://theseedsite.co.uk/db22.html

It has pictures of the seed pod and all of the seeds, as well as sowing instructions and seedling id pictures.
