If the seeds are cream-colored, I'd suspect they're not mature yet. I don't know how others collect them, but here's what works well for me. I leave all the fruits (pods) on the plant and let them begin to dry naturally. When they start splitting open, I take a cheap (flexible) white paper plate out and hold it under the stalk, bend the stalk over the plate, and flick the stem gently. The seeds fall out onto the plate and I bend a lip in the plate and use it to pour the seeds directly into a coin envelope. Repeat every few days or weeks as additional pods ripen and begin to dry. I used this technique successfully with poppy and cardinal flower and others small-seeds plants as well as digitalis. Good luck!

Good afternoon, foxglove. Like all seeds, foxglove shouldn't be harvested till mature (dry). When the pod is dry and starts cracking, I hold my 'gathering cup' (it's a white enamel tin cup) under the seed pod and cut it off the stem with a small scissors. Let the whole pod fall into the cup. I transfer the gathered pods to a pie tin for drying. When I'm ready to store the dried seeds, I dump the whole mess, pods and all, into a large tea-type strainer over another pie plate. The clean seeds will fall into the new plate thru the strainer. Discard the rest where you might like new foxglove to grow, as you are bound to miss a few seeds in the process.

I use this method for many different seed types. Have fun, and try not to get hooked on seed gathering TOO much, LOL!

I am wondering where the seeds are on fox gloves. All of the flowers have fallen off my plant and there is just a green stalk left. Are there any seeds on that?
