Wysteria seeds

I have a wisteria that is 3 years old. This year I noticed a rather large enlongated pod that feels like velvet and looks a like a pendant about 4-5 inches in length and 1-1 1/2 inces in width. Is this the pod that holds the seeds and if so when do you harvest them. It is firmly attached and is still quite green. Any help would be appreciated.

IT will be autumn before they are ripe. Wisteria tyopically will hold the pods through the winter. So there is no rush in collecting them.

How long will it take a wisteria to bloom from seed? I started one early this spring and it is about a foot high now. I moved it out to my garden. I know it will be a good while before it blooms (its a slow grower compared to my other plants) but I've heard it can take up to 15 years for it to bloom.
