True Potato Seed

jackleroy

My Idaho Russet potatoes decided to grow true seed this year! It's the first time for me, and needless to say, I'm pretty excited.

I was just out in the garden and I found two fruits (proper name?) that had fallen to the ground. I've attached a picture with a quarter for size reference.

My questions are:

Are they mature?

What the heck do I do with them?

Is it possible to save them for a year or should they be planted in the fall?

If you can offer any insight, It'd be extremely helpful.

Thanks!
