In my zone ordinary Myosotis starts germinating (and scheming for garden domination) in autumn so I don't think they'll need stratifying

FWIW I have a dog with a woolly-type coat. Each year, when he goes fossicking in the garden, his legs become thickly covered with FMN seed heads. When the outer seed cover dries they are very easy to remove from a 'pile' surface using a small 'wool carder' type of grooming brush. When they're still green and 'wet' they stick relentlessly.

You might also find it easy to gently shake the towel over a biggish sheet of paper when those seed covers are dry and release the actual seed.

or shake over a white bedsheet -- bigger coverage area and easier to see them.
