Gaillardia 'Arizona Sun'

Hello

I've searched several forums and I can't find the answer...

I purchased some Gaillardia "Arizona Sun" perenials and planted them.

When the flowers go to seed:

Can I plant the seeds this season (it's June now)?

Will the seeds grow to have the same characteristics of the original?

Thanks for your help!

Hi, Gaillardia 'Arizonia Sun' is a cultivar denoted by capitalized first letters and the placement of the name between single quotes. Some cultivars will come true from seed usually they don't. Especially if you have other cultivars of Gaillardia growing in the same area. If you want to collect open pollenated seed you will probably have to plant a lot of them and just see what you get. Good luck-Galium
