Germinating Stylophorum diphyllum seeds

I just harvested some ripe seeds from my Stylophorum diphyllum plants, a spring ephemeral that is tricky to germinate. For the moment I have mixed them with some barely moist seed starting mix and put them in the refrigerator. Should I hold them there until late fall before I plant them? I think I read somewhere that they require cold stratification. Should I instead plant them immediately and expect germination this summer?
