Saving/collecting from Shasta daisies

I have some Snow Lady shasta daisies that have already bloomed and I want to collect their seeds and direct sow more as I dig up and transplant the existing plants more toward the front of the border because of the plant's expected height. When I deadhead the plant, do I let the seedheads dry in the sun before attempting to sow them? When I dig up the plant, do I divide the plant before transplanting?
