Right under the "cap" of the pod, little holes will develop when the seed is ready. If you tip them then, the seed will fall out. So don't cut them off until then. When you do cut them, cut them into a baggie so you don't lose seeds. They are small. But don't leave them in the baggie. You don't want to hold in moisture. Take them inside and shake out the seeds into a container, and put the seeds in a paper envelope. You can store them in a plastic bag, but they must be really dry first so you would need to leave them sit for a few weeks the container to lose any moisture they might have.
