Hi there. I know how to collect seed from the pods on the giant old-fashioned dicentra, but not on the fern leaf. I'm not seeing pods. Any clues out there?

Should be exactly the same way. I do find dicentras are rather finicky in making seeds.

Thanks! I'll keep looking--

The pods look like little pea pods about 1 inch long. Often, the green pods are covered with dried petals and leaves and they can easily be missed. They drop rather quickly - almost instantaneously - as they turn from green to tan. You can pick them when they're green with a slight shade of tan. The mature seeds are black and shiny.
