Does anyone know how to gather seed from ice plants? Curious to know when the pods are ripe and what the seeds look like.

I am not sure, but I have some seeds for magenta iceplant I got through a trade. I just divide my iceplant. I've never tried saving seeds from it. LMK if you want the seeds.

Thank you-that is very generous. Can you e-mail me on where to send a SASE? I'll watch to see if the fruits I've left on the plant mature first - see if I have any luck.

Follow up - I was able to save some seeds. And I know they are good because I germinated a couple as a test. I waited until the entire fruit had dried on the plant. After I remove them I pull it apart and crumbled it up, picked the seeds out. They were rather small, about 5-7 per flower head. They were reddish-brown, reminded me of lobelia but a little bigger.
