I have a Beautyberry Bush that has lots of purple berries in the fall. Will seeds from these berries be fertile and produce new plants?

Yes. In fact, look underneath the shrub right now and you might find some babies. Lime

I started a whole bunch of them from a few sprays of the blooms that a flower farmer gave me. They germinated very well in soiless mix and under lights. he leaves seemed to stay tiny a long time. Now, they are transplanted out for a couple months and are between 4" and 9 " tall plants. I look forward to their beauty in the garden!I sure had no problem starting some, and was surprised how easy they propagated. Glad

Do you just pick the purple berries or do they have to dry on the bush? Do you sow the whole berry? Theresa
