Cut Flower Left in Water

I received cut flowers from a friend the other week and went on holidays whey they were almost at the end of their lives. When I got back I found the Gerbera Diasy (??) had exploded. I guess it went to seed. Would these seeds be viable? (The seeds had little heads on the ends of feathers) thanks.

It probably died an unnatural death, so I would think no.

If they were cut as flowers, they could not form seeds. If they were already starting to form seeds, they would take at least several weeks, supported by nutrients from the soil the plant is grows in, to become viable. So I would say it's very unlikely the seeds are viable. But, as Florazone said, never hurts to try.
