Strange question on freezing seeds

Greetings, I'm new to this forum but have been part of GW for years.

I've been asked to give a beginning talk on seed saving at my local library. I'm far from expert on this but may know 'slightly' more than the folks coming to the talk.

I want to have some give-aways for the class (preferably some things not normally available at the box stores) I have some small peppers that should be ready by then. I also have some ground cherry fruit (p. pruinosa) that I can gather as they ripen. My thought would be to freeze these as they become available and pass them out the night of the class. The attendees could take them home and go through the fermentation process and save for next year.

Is this a workable plan? It's the only way I could get enough together for the class.

Thanks
