Belladonna Lily/Naked Lady Lily

Hi there! I've just started collecting seeds - and have become very addicted to it! It's such a fun pastime! Anyway, I have a small patch of Belladonna lilies (we call them Naked Ladies) that have formed little pods where the flowers were. I'm a little perplexed as to when to harvest these - some of the pods look like they are just withering away - instead of swelling a little further and cracking open, which is what I thought they would do. Anyone out there have any info on how to harvest the seeds? Should I snip them while they're green? Thanks in advance,

Jill

I guess no body knows! Either that or all of you are gone collecting seeds ;)

Hi I grow a lot of them and after flowering the seed pods start to swell. They are rather transparent and you can see the pinkish white seeds inside. I harvest them when the pods begin to split. Sounds like yours did not set seed. Mine grow rather dry so I don't think water is the problem. Hope this helps
