? about Canterbury bells (Campanula medium) seeds

I've been collecting Canterbury seeds for a couple of weeks. I leave the pod on until it is completely dry and shriveled, even the stem. The tiny seeds are medium dark brown and have a bit of a sheen. The seeds I collected today (completely dry pods and stem) are a creamy beige color with sheen.

Do Canterbury seeds vary in color? Are the beige seeds viable?
