I've collected a few seeds from my dwarf lavender plant. Before I collect any more, I want to know will they come true from seed?

RE: dwarf lavender seeds?

I guess you're wanting to know if they're a hybrid or not? I will follow the thread because I also would like to know if you always know when you're buying a hybrid. Do the growers have to reveil to you when a plant or seed is a hybrid? I would really like to know what the plant is that I'm buying and if I can save seeds from them, too. I especially wonder with names like 'dwarf' and other special tags that are given to plants/seeds. In particular, I'm wondering about dwarf tomato type plants. I wasn't sure about even the groceries I've bought that I planted seed from, so I just recently trashed the plants that came from them because I don't want to waste any more time and energy on them (not to mention watering, etc.) if they are possibly hybrids. Is there any way to know for sure?
