I have a Vitex that bloomed in July and now is covered with seeds. This is the first year I had one that bloomed so I am wondering when the seeds will be ready to pick. Right now they are greenish brown. Do they change color when they are ripe? I want to harvest them but don't want to do it too soon. Any help is appreciated.

I would like help with this question also. Someone out there knows because I traded for these seeds last year. I just do not remember what they looked like. Do the little "berries" have to stay on the tree until dry? taterbug

When I collected mine last year they still looked kinda greenish/brown, but they practically fell off the stem when I brushed my hand across them.
