coreopsis seeds

I'm trying to harvest the seeds from a Coreopsis grandiflora "Sunfire" & am having trouble. One thread from a couple of years ago said their seeds were like Marigolds, but a link on the same thread went to a picture of C seeds that were definitely hard rather than filaments.

What I have are short dark curved threads that came out of the dried and split pods.

Help?!

Did you look on the Seed Site. It shows a picture of some seeds. What do the pods look like?

what's the "seed site"? is that within GW? same as "seed saving"?

pods: dark brown and brittle-dry, about 1/4" to 1/2" in diameter - sort of like a pomegranate pod opening up with petals (?) peeling back

Hi,
I know there is variation in the way coreopsis seed looks depending on the species. Many look like ticks which is where the nickname tickseed came from. But the one variety,Coreopsis tinctoria, listed on The Seed Site, has stick like seeds.
