| I picked some brown "things" where the roses had been and let them sit for a couple of weeks. They didn't get soft. They are as hard as rocks. I'm I doing the wrong thing? |

| That has always been my experience when collecting rose hips from my Hansa Rugosa Rose...the only one I collect from. Once they are good and hard, I crack with me teeth (probably shouldn't do that), or one could use a hammer. After pulling the seeds out, I still let them dry a few days before packaging them. Sue |
