Butterfly vine Yellow orchid vine

I have a Butterfly vine that is blooming now. I want to know how to collect seeds pods. Is there anyway that i can start a butterfly vine from seed to grow? I see seeds or pods forming on my vine. Do i snap them off to start growing. Im new to this . Please explain!!! zone 8b.

angel123- I have had butterfly vine for years, and I have never seen one seedling under the plant. I have harvested dozens of plants by allowing the vine to layer, or form roots by allowing the nodes of the vine to come into contact with the ground. Even casual contact seems to be enough, LOL. It is everywhere!

Just lay it on a pot of soil, put a rock or a brick on it, and leave it alone. You can scratch the node just a little if you wish. It will root. By this method, you will have a mature plant as soon as it roots. You won't have the long wait for your vine to bloom, as you would with a seedling.
